Welcome to The Flat Broke Blog. This is the place for the people who have worked their fingers to the bone all to have the economic rug pulled out from under them — or live in fear of that happening.

Let it be known that this is not the place to simply moan and cry. Yes, I will present and discuss the news of the day, both good and bad. We will all provide shoulders to cry on and share our horror stories.

However, my main purpose is showing people how DEAL with these horrible situations and be extremely creative about it! Sometimes, the best way to deal with sorrow is to roll on the floor laughing about it.

I’ll talk about how to make the wealthy’s trash our treasure — literally. You’ll find tips on how to stay productive and sane during unemployment. I’ll go beyond the general headlines and examine the lives of people behind them.

And maybe I’ll share success stories about people who have managed to pull themselves out of the gutter and how they pulled it off.
